Rock of Ages started in Ballard with Norwegian immigrants, and today we’re growing into a diverse faith community for people of every background and age. We believe the global church is made up of people from every tribe, language, and nation (Rev. 5:9), and we want our local church to reflect that beautiful diversity.

That’s why we’re committed to serving among people of varied cultures and experiences. Every Sunday, we gather for both English and Japanese worship, and we also host bilingual services and fellowship events bimonthly. We’d love for you to join us—no matter who you are or where you’re from.

We believe all the good in us is a gift of grace from Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-10). He has called us, redeemed us, and empowers us to follow him. Rather than trying to get Jesus involved in our own agendas, we want to join him in his mission.

Because of that, we focus each week on discovering his mission through studying his Word, praying his prayers, receiving his sacraments, and being shaped by him. And as we immerse ourselves in his story, we start to do what he did, love as he loved, speak as he spoke, and show mercy and grace as he has shown mercy and grace to us.

Jesus Christ is the hope of the world (Romans 15:10-13). And we believe every one of us can and has been called to share that hope with our neighbors both near and far. Because of that, we are committing ourselves to be disciples who make other disciples of Christ. We encourage one another to share the Gospel in everyday life, and partner with others to bring Christ’s love in both word and deed and to send others who will bring the Gospel to those who don’t yet have it. Ultimately, we want to join Jesus in his mission to make disciples.
